Ah, So This is How Science Should Be Taught

This is simply brilliant.

“Easterbunnyism, Fatherchristmasism or the contemporary militant Tooth Fairy jihadist movement are best seen by science teachers not as a misconception but as a world view. This is more valuable than simply banging on about ‘reality.’ Reality-based thinking is vastly overrated and certainly won’t prepare children for a career in the City or in government.”

Carry on.

Teddy Roosevelt said “Thorough knowledge of the bible is more valuable than a college education”.Whether you agreee with his politics or not his spiritual out look has been very helpful to me – even in the political arena.

Because adding in the word “Easter bunny” instead of god constitutes a good argument. yeahhhh

  8. It’s called the “argument from analogy” I believe when you replace the word of one absurd thing that is not normally thought of as absurd and replace it with an absurd thing that is thought of as absurd to highlight its absurdity.
